Behavior Analysis Template
Date: _____________________
Think of a specific troublesome recurring pattern of interaction you have with someone in particular. (The examples I gave were of "recurring patterns" of interaction.)
Now, do a behavior analysis, but don't get bogged down in details. Just answer these simple questions:
1. What is the other person's recurring "problem" behavior?
2. Guess what he/she Gets/Avoids/Escapes by engaging in the "problem" behavior:
3. What might you have do to to get him/her to change his/her behavior?
Incidentally, what do you get/escape/avoid for the role you have been playing in this behavior pattern?
