In 1986 a group of project managers formed ProjectManagerTraining.com and its sister site, 4PM.com in response to our clients’ requests for our methodology and techniques we used to successfully deliver projects on time, within budget and with a minimum of paperwork. Clients wanted their internal people to use the same techniques. We teach practical tools and techniques and give project managers practice using them in real project situations. We write our own textbooks (14 books and over published over 500 articles) because our approach is practical, not academic or theoretical. Some of our textbooks are so popular they are in their 9th and 10th editions. Hands-on Personal Training Works the BestEvery instructor provides students with feedback and coaching tailored for their skill level and learning style. Our students emerge with professional-level skills in scheduling, estimating, risk management, progress tracking and much more. World Class Learning MaterialsThe outstanding results our training produces come from giving project managers practice with the tools and techniques in real world project situations. To do that, all of our hands-on courses include live simulations. The project managers practice presenting information and answering questions from executives. Project Experts, Not AcademicsOur instructors are practicing project managers with more than 12 years of industry experience. We spend the majority of our time managing projects and consulting with organizations on their projects. As a result our students get the benefit of our current real-world experience and the techniques we have developed to deal with all the challenges that project managers face. We write our own textbooksRather than use theoretical academic textbooks, our instructors have written 14 project management textbooks. Each one is a practical hands-on guide to the tools and techniques of project management. Our textbooks include software instructions and practical techniques for dealing with executives, stakeholders and your team members. Ongoing support, not faculty who can’t answer real-world questionsYou get a year of ongoing support from your instructor as you apply what you have learned to your real world projects and situations. As you advance in project management, 4PM can provide training at every level from beginner to the portfolio and program manager. CoursesOur courses have been reviewed and approved by the Project Management Institute.
